Bae Doona and Her Super Powered “Family”

✅ BAE DOONA with Super Powers?! Take my money! The official announcement came this week that the Coupang Play drama “Family Planning” is a GO.

Bae Doona will be joined by RYU SEUNG BUM (Frank from “Moving”) LOMON, BAEK YUN SIK & LEE SOO HYUN as a group of people with superpowers posing as a family to navigate and hide from those who threaten them.

The plot seems very “Moving”-esque but Bae Doona doesn't sign up for just anything so I’m sure this is more than just a “Moving” knock-off.

No date yet but according to reports filming started in December and we’ll get to watch sometime in 2024!

✅ KIM SO HYUN & PARK BO GUM have confirmed they will both be leading the kdrama “Good Boy”. This one really does sound super fun:

Not thrilled with ML casting but I do enjoy Kim So Hyun quite a bit and with that synopsis…I’ll definitely give it a try. It’s slated for the second half of 2024.

✅ GO SOO is officially confirmed - unfortunately, it seems without his luscious hair - for the ENA drama “Parole Officer, Lee Han Shin” with KWON YU RI.

For my watchlist, ENA really had some of the best-written kdramas in recent years: “The Kidnapping Day”, “Moon in the Day”, “Gaus Electronics”, “Delivery Man” & “Strangers Again”.

Plus community favorites: “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, “Tell Me That You Love Me” & “Like Flowers in Sand”.

So I have high hopes for this one as well - don’t let us down ENA!

Kim Ji Won Considering “The Price of Confession”

🧐 KIM JI WON is reviewing an offer to join JEON DO YEON in the mystery kdrama “The Price of Confession”. Originally offered to SON HYE KYO and HAN SO HEE they both left the project ‘after extensive discussions’. This project also lost its original director. Y’all, this is either going to be just a mess of a drama or one of the greatest comebacks of all-time.

Seol In Ah-Jung Kyung Ho Matchup? Yes, please

🗣️ SEOL IN AH is rumored to teaming up with JUNG KYUNG HO in “Laborer Noh Moo Jin” a drama about the life & cases of a Labor Attorney. With these 2 as the leads I’m hoping we get some fantastic ‘witty banter’.

Director YIM SOON RYE (“Little Forrest” & “The Point Men”) is taking the helm of her first drama with this one. Marisa & I saw her at a “Little Forrest” screening and talkback earlier this year. She was a really interesting and entertaining woman who talked about carving out a spot as film director in a very male-dominated industry. I’m really excited to see what she does with this project and these actors. Fingers crossed Seol In Ah confirms!

No “Mantis” for Ji Chang Wook

🚫 In a quick Twitter turnaround, it is now official that JI CHANG WOOK will not be taking part in the kdrama thriller “The Mantis” (a remake of a French series). His agency stated that it was a scheduling issue. And honestly, I believe it. This man is ALWAYS working. I’m sure we’ll see him again very soon!
