“Lovely Runner” was the Top Pick of our April Premiere Poll last week so I know this will be a popular one!

My Top Pick is definitely “Blood Free” with JU JI HOON and HAN HYO JOO. These 2 jump off the screen in just the trailer and I can’t wait to see them together. I love the futuristic thriller vibe and moral quandary tone to it all.

▶︎ Escape of The Seven: Resurrection

This show is just plain bonkers. Completely nonsensical and for me, a laugh-out-loud good time. LEE JOON carries most of the weight for my continued enjoyment of this one. He is all things: smokin’ hot, sexy nerd, goofy vagabond, hilarious slacker, emo king, and action hero. Honestly, without him I’d probably wouldn’t stick around - though the odd couple of SHIN EUN KYUNG & JO JAE YOON might keep me watching, they are comedy gold 😆 So give me all the prosthetic limbs, digital face masks, arranged marriages & adoptions and maniacal evil villains! This crew keeps me laughing every week.

▶︎ Nothing Uncovered

It just keeps getting messier and I can’t get enough! I don’t know who I’m rooting for - all three leads are insufferable and heartbreaking at the same time. Once again not technically a romance but it’s definitely a key plot point with her first love AND cheating husband in the mix. I adore JANG SEUNG JO so no matter how awful he becomes I am always looking for the redemptive arc 😆 But our puppy-eyed yet fierce detective YEON WOO JIN is hard to root against. KIM HA NEUL is not the most compelling female lead here. How she is a hard-hitting journalist is beyond me, she’s a terrible communicator, but I am rooting for her to take what will make her the happiest in the long run. Ultimately the mystery is mystery-ing and keeps bringing me back every week to see what they’ve uncovered…oh dear, I hope the title isn’t a clue as to how this series will end. 🙀 

▶︎ Queen of Tears

I need more of our main couple KIM JI WON & KIM SOO HYUN. One would think with episodes that last 1 hr & 26 min each, we would have more than enough, but alas no. I was very happy that we did not go the noble idiocy route and Hong Hae In handed Yoon Eun Song [PARK SUNG HOON] his ass publicly. So we won’t waste any time in the last 6 episodes on that nonsense. Thank god. We already spend way too much time on the 80gajillion other character stories. Let me fall in love with our main couple falling BACK in love you cowards!

Oh show. The amount of Quibble Juice™️ I am consuming just to make it to the end - MY. GOD. Where do I even start? The anvil of tragedy this tale doles out week after week? Where’s the healing?! What about the absurd affair storyline? That did nothing except break up our couple AGAIN and destroy the relationship with the sister as well - because WHY? It was a drunken one-night stand after Soohyun went to prison. But it still had zero motivation and it drove the story for over 4 episodes! Or maybe it’s the concussion to Alzheimer’s pipeline in episode 12 🙄 You can catch my full rant on the LIVE REPLAY for all this and more ridiculousness. At the end of the day CHA EUN WOO is the best thing going in this series - I know, I know! I am kinda a CEU fangirl but he has really upped his game this past year - I’m including “A Good Day to Be A Dog” because I loved his character and the chemistry with PARK GYU YOUNG was perfection 💘

📣 60th BAEKSANG ARTS AWARDS NOMINEES are out. Not gonna lie, I’m quite spicy about the KIM TAE RI snub. “Revenant” is nominated for Best Drama & Screenplay but Kim Tae Ri is left off the Best Actress list?! She owned that role…just makes no sense. But I am thrilled to see YOO NA from “The Kidnapping Day” on the list for Best New Actress. We’ll be talking about all the nominees on our next LIVE 04.28 - mark your calendars!!

📣 LEE JAE WOOK & aespa’s KARINA have broken up after only going public with their relationship 5 weeks ago. The usual lines were used ‘busy’, ‘will continue to support each other’ etc. but they took a beating on all the SNS channels from netizens and I would not be surprised if that stress has something to do with why they called it quits. 🙁 

📣 SONG HA YOON coming off a career-high with her critically acclaimed and fan-adored performance as Jung Soo Min in “Marry My Husband” finds herself embroiled in a school bullying scandal.
