I was surprised to see that I was only watching 5 (or 6 if I actually get around to hitting play on “My Man is Cupid”…) but the 5 I am watching are really satisfying so I’m quite happy!

⭐️ 12.15 DEATH’S GAME

Most definitely looking forward to this one! The Cast is ridiculously STACKED and I love a good fantasy tale. Man down on his luck takes. his own life only to piss off Death for treating death so casually. Punished by Death to experience 13 other lives, if he can survive their imminent deaths, he can live out their life. Fingers crossed it’s more “Hotel Del Luna” and less “Doom At Your Service” Though there were elements of Doom I actually liked, it just never gelled as a cohesive story. SEO IN GUK does ‘tortured soul’ very well & PARK SO DAM is always a force so I, cautiously, have high hopes for “Death’s Game”.

▶︎ Moon In The Day What a ride this drama has been! As we head into the final 2 episodes Kang Yeong Hwa (PYO YE JIN)has THE DREAM that finally gives her and Do Ha (KIM YOUNG DAE) the answers they were looking for. Good lord was it heartbreaking! These two souls truly deserve some happiness after enduring this 1500-year curse, brought on by that bastard dad evil spirit and not our two ill-fated lovers. The trailer for the final week gives us a least a few happy moments for our couple and from what I’ve read, the kdrama is more ‘inspired by’ the webtoon than an adaptation - so I have EVERYTHING crossed that somehow we get a happy ending in this version. You can’t tease with the Lovers Tarot Card as the solution to this mess and then give us a tragic ending 🥺 RIGHT?! 🤞🤞

▶︎ A Good Day To Be A Dog CHA EUN WOO breaks the internet again with the closet kiss scene. (I WISH we could get a kiss that passionate in “Moon In the Day” - hoo boy their kissing game is WEAK for 1500 year pent up souls) But can we talk about PARK GYU YOUNG’s palm kiss?! …these 2 are just plain HOT. Loved how much fun they both seemed to be having with all the fantasy sequences and how ridiculous their ‘secret’ love at school played out. The nephew was also hilarious in all his meddling throughout the episode, the parody of that classic kdrama (that I need someone to give me the full background on as it was way before my kdrama journey!) then the salt around the bed, he’s so extra, and I loved it! I really enjoy the show when it is focused on our main couple and their people…I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on our ‘vengeful’ Mountain God storyline yet. Though I do love the young shaman student who is the reincarnation of his love. So well see - lord knows at only 1 episode a week we’re going to be here a while!

★ Soundtrack #2 was a lot of fun! Nice setup for our Second Chance couple NOH SANG HYUN (STEVE NOH) & GEUM SAE ROK if a tad contrived. It’s only 6 episodes total so it’s going to burn fast and hopefully HOT. Not sure we need a love triangle for such a quick story but it worked for week one.

▶︎ The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract Still loving the chemistry in this one but this week’s story seems kinda filler-y. Then I realized that we were at the ½ mark and was okay with it because chess pieces needed to be put in place for the back half. We had a great discussion in this Sunday’s LIVE about where grandpa fits into all this (grey but good?) and if we even want our girl to go back to Old Joseon (no!) - what are your thoughts on that? Oh and is anyone else completely in love with LEE SE YOUNG’s modern hanbok wardrobe?!

▶︎ Welcome To Samdalri continues to worm its way into my heart. I can’t wait to get the full back and experience the new love story of Cho Sam Dal (SHIN HAE SUN) and Cho Yong Pil (JI CHANG WOOK) The friend crew is delightful, if weirdly Male. And I can’t wait to spend more time with the sisters. Ready for this story to really take off next week

📣 PARK SEO HAM from “Semantic Error” is officially discharged from the military! Fingers crossed this means we get a Season 2 SOON! Time to rewatch the movie or Season 1 on Viki 🤩
