☕️ PARK SEO JOON's "Gyeongseong Creature 2" Lands Friday

☕️Time for another Kdrama Coffee Break!

“Black Out” is my top pick overall this this week. This thriller is so well written and the reveals come so fast and furioius each episode, I truly can not get enough! BYUN YO HAN & GO JOON make one of the oddest and best buddy cop teams out there, with KIM BO RA as their utterly unphasable ‘girl friday’. Seriously she’s the best, in a town of complete trash. EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM. There are only 3 episdoes left and I can’t wait to see everyone get what they deserve.

“Cinderella At 2AM” stuck that landing! I saw a great comment on twitter that really summed up what made this romcom so satisfying: it gave us exactly what it said it would. It was a sweet, simple tale of romance and all the ways one can find their happy ending. Nothing more and nothing less. SHIN HYUN BEEN & MOON SANG MIN were so much fun to watch and root for. YOON PARK & PARK SO JIN gave us the healthiest couple I think I’ve ever seen in Kdrama & as I’ve said repeatedly, the brothers (MOON SANG MIN & YOON PARK) relationship was one of the best pieces of this fairy tale. If you’re looking for an easy, fairly stress free (there are some TW around child abuse and the FL) binge that you know will end well, I highly recommend this one!

“No Gain, No Love” is just plain FUN. Other than the 2FL’s back story (another child abuse TW) this show is about as unserious as it gets but with just the right dash of important social themes and I love every minute of it! The comedy works. The romances work. The complete abusudity works. The social commentary works. And the actors SHIN MIN AH, KIM YOUNG DAE, LEE SANG YI & HAN JI HYUN are completely committed to the material no matter how bonkers it get! Plus they look like they are having a great time. Can’t believe we say goodbye next week - as the kids say “I’m not readyyyyyy!”

“The Judge From Hell” had a fantastic albeit DARK start. It is not an easy watch. At. All. Domestic abuse TW galore in this one but PARK SHIN HYE as a demon, who does not give one wit about humans, metting out justice?! Her Kang Bit Na is the character I didn’t know I NEEDED.

SO ready for both “Gyeongseong Creature 2” and “What Comes After Love”. Both land on Friday: GS2 is a NETFLIX full season drop and WCAL the angst begins with 2 eps on Viki.

Seaon 1 of “Gyeonseong Creature” was such a satisfying and terrifying horror, sci-fi, allegory with an equally intense love story between PARK SEO JOON & HAN SO HEE. When we watched the finale and got to that time jump to present day we all knew we had to get a Season 2 - and it’s finally here! The trailers have been intriguing and even though we are no longer living in the stylish 1940s with the horrors of the Japanese occupation, it seems the experiments have never stopped and our heroes reunite to finally finish the job.

Let the binge begin!

“What Comes After Love” looks like the most glorious angst fest EVER with two of the most gorgeous people [LEE SE YOUNG & SAKAGUCHI KENTARO] on the planet. Lovers in Japan, our couple meet again 5 years later in Korea and they try to answer the question ‘what comes after love’? MDL still has it listed as only 6 eps - even though there are rumors it could be 12 - and honestly I hope it stays at 6…I can only handle so much angst 😎
