▶︎ Marry My Husband
Unfortunately, episodes 13 & 14 did not bring the joy back for me. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good fun, but the true joy it brought me every week is no longer there. We are still mired in the strange detour we took with the EX and TOD that showed up last week in episode 12. And that sucks because when our ex-BFFs PARK MIN YOUNG and SONG HA YOON are on screen this story pops. Their dynamic is so rich and layered when they are on screen it’s all we need. That and of course our main love line! There should no longer be any debate about NA IN WOO’s skill as a Male Lead. His Yoo Ji Hyuk is everything a green flag should be and then some. Swoon worthy, smart, loyal, considerate, and kind. Just a total delight. Bummed we won’t see him again until his military service is complete. Heading into the finale, I have just one question: Can anyone explain to me how LEE YI KYUNG’s Park Min Hwan is so desirable by so many women? Mind-boggling, truly. Let’s finish strong “Marry My Husband”!

✔︎ Knight Flower
At the end of the day, I found this to be a solidly fun kdrama. If you are looking for a tight story with great characters, loads of humor, not a lot of romance, but a lot of found family, this will be a great binge for you! LEE HANEE always gives us a fun watch. She’s not only good at comedy but she also made me feel some things in the last few episodes. I’ve mentioned before and I’ll say it again: The women MADE this drama for me. They were wonderful. KIM MEE KYUNG posted pics of these powerhouse women on her IG and it brought such a smile to my face! (I want to be friends with them all!!) I did have quibbles in earlier episodes that the romance did not/will not work but as the story continued they became more friends and partners and by the time the final tease happened, I was on board. It was sweet and subtle and did not pull focus from the main story. And it completely stuck the landing. Overall a definite win.

★✔︎ A Killer Paradox
This experience should have been so much more…fun. It had fantastic actors, quirky characters and a bonkers premise. And yet, I was completely bored. SON SUKKU continues to prove that I will watch ANYTHING he is in 😆 He looked great and gave us another one of his wildly appealing characters and while I now crave bubble gum - not much else stuck with me.

▶︎ Flex X Cop
LOVE THIS DRAMA. It’s just plain fun. Watching AHN BO HYUN’s 3rd generation chaebol slowly growing up and becoming part of this detective team is currently my favorite thing to watch each week. PARK JI HYUN is the perfect balance of understanding and bitchy and I adore her. Her relationship with her team and her parents gives us a well-rounded character who has flaws but is doing her best and is good at what she does. And I have to give a shout-out to team member KIM SHIN BI for being the purest puppy ever. On one hand, he is the biggest Ji Soo fanboy and on the other, speaks all the hard truths to Ji Soo about his behavior so matter-of-factly with a big ole sweet smile on his face - he makes me laugh every week. I hope it stays the course and continues to be fun ride.

▶︎ Captivating The King
We’re heading into the final few episodes and I have to admit I’m ready. The acting is still phenomenal. JO JUNG SEOK is the most natural actor I have ever watched. I believe every breath. But I continue to have a lot of questions. How did SHIN SE KYUNG’s baduk ‘criminal’ become so intertwined with all the machinations of the inner court? How is it that Kang Mong Woo is the Queen’s BFF? Why does the Queen trust her husband’s baduk partner and rumored lover so much? And can we talk about this plan of hers to oust the king…it’s crazy weak, right? And ultimately my suspension of disbelief that NO ONE has discovered Mong Woo’s true identity, has utterly failed. Plus, I really need to know more about what our King Lee In’s plan is! Did he steal the throne to protect his nephew? Did he just crave power? (that speech to his uncle in ep 12 was just to keep that dude off his sent right? RIGHT?) Who is he really?
So. Many. Questions. Hope we get answers soon…

NEWS BITES
“Knight Flower” Takes Title From “Red Sleeve”

MBC

📣 “Knight Flower” Finale takes the top spot with the highest rated Friday-Saturday viewership in MBC history!

📣 It’s gonna be a “See You In My 19th Life” Reunion! HA YOON KYUNG will be joining AHN BO HYUN in “Flex X Cop” as his ex-girlfriend. This week’s extra scene was the two of them on the street, hilariously bickering about their breakup and being filmed by onlookers. Have a feeling her cameo will be fun!

📣 I may have some quibbles about the last few eps of “Marry My Husband” but it is still dominating in Drama & Actor Rankings in Korea!
