The only show on this list I can talk about due to the strike - which hopefully will be wrapping up soonish - is “7 Escape” / “The Escape of the Seven”.

I finally watched the first 3 episodes and well…it’s A LOT. Admittedly, I am not the hugest makjang fan, but the abuse this high school girl & her family is enduring?! I just really need to get our main story out of high school because hoo boy it’s making “The Glory” look tame. 😱 

But I’m conflicted y’all! LEE JOON is one of the leads - and for him? I am willing to sit through quite a bit! I’ll see how I feel after the time jump in ep 4 I was spoiled about earlier today (thanks Caitlin!)

Loving that OCTOBER’s lineup is primarily landing on VIKI!

Right now I would say I’m most excited for “A Good Day to Be a Dog” and “Moon in the Day”. 

If you’ve been hanging out with me for ANY length of time in the kdrama world, you know I love reincarnation stories. Fingers crossed “Moon in the Day” gives me all that I wanted from “See You In My 19th Life”.

🎭️ ROOWOON made the announcement this week that he will be leaving his Idol roots & SF9 behind to focus on his acting career. In a handwritten letter to his fans, he stated that after hitting the age of 27, he is ready to try new challenges. Though not mentioned, he also still has to complete his military service, so I can understand wanting to branch out a bit before having to go off the grid for 2 years. 🪖 Speaking of military service, it’s official: KIM MIN JAE has enlisted. He’ll be back in March 2025. Which Kim Min Jae kdrama will you be binging waiting his return? I’m eyeballing both “Dali & the Cocky Prince” and of course “Do You Like Brahms”. Here’s to a safe & speedy enlistment! [Soompi]

🦋 YOO AH IN has had his arrest warrant re: drug usage, dismissed for a second time by the Court. Sadly, this does not mean that he won’t be prosecuted, it just means that he won’t sit in jail while they put together his case. I really hope that ultimately, he gets a light sentence and some much needed help. [Korean JoongAng Daily]

💍 Another hallyu wedding seems to coming in March. LEE SANG YEOB it is being reported will be marrying his non-celebrity girlfriend. Congrats to the happy couple!

😈 Can’t talk about a certain upcoming drama but I can appreciate this spread in ELLE Korea of WI HA JOON & JI CHANG WOOK together ‘for no apparent reason’.
