✔︎ The Kidnapping Day

One of the best written dramas I have experienced in a really long time. From beginning to end it has been concise, smart and a hell of a lot of fun. Based on a novel of the same name, you can tell the production knew exactly where it was headed the entire time.

With fantastic performances from PARK SUNG HOON & YOON KYE SANG, the true stand out is YUNA, as our 11-year-old genius Cho Ro Hee. She is simply phenomenal. Going toe to toe with every single veteran actor around her and not missing a beat.

As we head into this week’s finale I am hoping the ending they have teed up, almost since the start, comes to fruition.

This one is truly a found family for the ages!

✔︎ The Worst of Evil

I can’t believe we’ve made to the final 3 episodes! Thank you streamer I can’t mention, for dropping them all at the same time - I don’t think I could have waited much longer to see how this MESSY drama comes to its conclusion.

So many theories…but at the end of it all think it’s a given that one of our guys is not making it out alive. It’s got to be Ki Chul right? I mean for the heartbreak factor alone, I think death would be preferable…no?

Truly a career-defining role for JI CHANG WOOK as our undercover detective Park JoonMo. The whiplash levels of emotion he has taken us through as he navigates the seedy underworld of the Gangnam Gang, lead by WI HA JOON’s Jung Ki Chul, is the most stress-inducing hour of my week - and I can’t get enough!

Wi Ha Joon, once again uses his charm offensive to make us feel things for this gangster we have no business feeling. Looking forward to seeing him finally take the much-deserved #1 Male Lead spot in the upcoming “Graduation” in 2024.

And last but most definitely not least, LIM SE MI’s Yoo Eui Jung is one of the most solid wife / first love characters in any kdrama, period. She is the wife we all need. When her husband has no backup in his undercover assignment our girl takes the lead by leading on her first love and Gang Boss, Ki Chul to get her husband out of there faster. Their shared moments - especially at her mother’s funeral - created a deep connection that has infused this drama with far more than just getting the bad guy. As a viewer, my only hope for the finale is for our married couple to somehow find a way to back to some sort of connection again.

💥 The biggest story to drop in the last week has to be the LEE SUN KYUN drug-related accusations. It was first reported as a blind item about “Actor L” and the usual hints about age and projects. Netizens of course, quickly sussed out that it was probably Lee Sun Kyun. From there it was just a barrage of blackmail, agency statements, brand deals dropping him (AND HIS WIFE 🤬) productions figuring out if they drop him or not, then earlier today there was a post that it was all a misunderstanding…such a mess. As with all drug-related reports, if they have only harmed themselves, first and foremost I just hope they get the help they need and can find a way to live a healthy life. Sending Lee Sun Hyun & his family all sorts of good thoughts.

💥 Women Rule the World…or at least this week of October’s Drama Actor Rankings! Taking 4 out of the Top 5 spots 💪

💥 JUNG SO MIN has decided to leave “Running Man” after 6 years as a fixed member. Looking forward to seeing her future activities!

💥 The EXO Boys are breaking out on their own! D.O. / DO KYUNG SOO is taking his acting career to new management headed by his current SM manager. CHANYEOL & SEHUN will also be represented in individual activities under new management headed by former iHQ CEO Jung Hoon Tak. Seems all EXO activities will still be under SM.

💥 DANIEL HENNEY after many rumors and denials has finally married Japanese American Ru Kumagai in a private wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!

➕ And because I hate only getting one episode of “A Good Day To Be A Dog” a week - and there is NO EPISODE this week 😩 I needed a bit of a puppy boost from this cast to get me through!
