The SAG Strike is hopefully working its way to a resolution but until then I still can only discuss non-struck streaming site Kdramas.

Which leaves only “Escape of the Seven S1” but whoooo boy there’s so much happening there!

If you love, or you’re like me and just ‘like’ makjang, I highly recommend hitting play. The first 2 eps are a bit clunky and TW filled as mentioned last week but it does actually set the stage for all the players in this completely unhinged world. And once I hit play on episode 4 I was all in for this bonkers ride.

Heading into episodes 5 & 6 we got a much-needed time jump PLUS

• magical unicorn island

• lots of murder

• and a delicious amount of revenge!

And I’m not going to lie - the LEE JOON of it all also does a lot of heavy lifting 😜 😈

🎬 Speaking of LEE DONG WOOK, his latest project, a movie with IM SOO JUNG “Single in Seoul”, has started its publicity tour. Scheduled for release in Korea November 29th, it sounds like we will get to see the Lee Dong Wook charm offensive in this rom-com about a writer & editor writing a book about being single in Seoul. 🤕 LEE JE HOON’s agency has reported that he had emergency surgery for ischemic colitis on October 2nd and is recovering well. Unfortunately, it means he will not be able to co-host the Busan Film Fest Opening Ceremony with Park Eun Bin - who will now handle hosting duties solo. Here’s to a speedy recovery! [Soompi]
